Italian Dolomites and Garda
An area of majestic mountains and peaceful valleys dotted with picturesque villages, the southern Tyrol region of northern Italy is largely unspoilt. A range of bizarre yet fantastic Rock Mountains and beautiful blossoming alpine meadows. It's a landscape of contrasts from the alpine mountains, vertical towers and glaciers to the wine gardens in the valleys. The French architect Le Corbusier called the Dolomite Range the most beautiful architecture in the world. The sun's reflections off the Dolomites' shear-face cliffs are stunning, lighting up the massive rock in multitudes of bright colors. Italy's a country rich in culture, lived traditions, ancient mystical legends with a very old history and language and let's not forget the fine local cuisine with Tyrolean, Austrian and Italian influences.
