This beautiful county on the west coast of Scotland is famed for golf courses, castles and its links with Scotland's greatest literary figure; Robert Burns. The poet was born in the village of Alloway and the cottage where he was born sits in the Burn's National Heritage Park. The National Trust for Scotland's most popular attraction, Culzean Castle, is a beautiful Robert Adam design with a commanding position overlooking the Firth of Clyde.
