Sorrento and the Bay of Naples - 8 days - £990

Sorrento is situated on a stunning peninsula, its inspired location and mild climate drawing visitors from all over Europe for close on 200 years. However, despite its popularity with tourists, Sorrento remains a bright, lively place that retains its southern Italian roots.

Your Itinerary

Day 1: An early start for Heathrow Airport and the morning flight with British Midland to Naples. On arrival we have around one hour's transfer time to Sorrento and our hotel for the next 7 nights.

Day 2: This morning get your bearings on our guided walking tour of Sorrento before enjoying a free afternoon to explore further or perhaps to relax by the pool.

Day 3: Today we enjoy a full day excursion to the beautiful Island of Capri. Breathtaking caves, luxuriant vegetation and the charming narrow lanes of its small towns have attracted visitors to Capri for centuries.

Day 4: A day at leisure to relax at the hotel or perhaps wander through the streets leading to Piazza Tasso, Sorrento’s centre.

Day 5: A breathtaking day is in store as we explore what many consider to be Europe’s most beautiful stretch of coast - the Amalfi Coast - its corniche road winding around the towering cliffs that slip almost sheer into the sea.

Day 6: Our destinations today are Mount Vesuvius - the legendary volcano dominating the landscape - and one of the Roman towns destroyed by Vesuvius, Pompeii. Now Italy’s top tourist attraction, Pompeii has been frozen in time since the eruption in AD 79.

Day 7: Free time to relax and enjoy your last day - maybe to do some last minute shopping or perhaps spend the last day enjoying the hotel facilities.

Day 8: We travel back to Naples for the afternoon flight back to Heathrow. Your transport will then be waiting to take you home.
