Sunday 23rd: We leave during the morning and travel to Stratford upon Avon where time
will be given for lunch before we continue to our hotel. Refreshments will be provided on
arrival.
Monday 24th (Christmas Eve): After breakfast we leave on a tour of the Cotswolds.
Famous for hundreds of honey-coloured limestone villages and chocolate box scenes, we
make a stop at Bourton-on-the-Water. We return to the hotel via Worcester, on the banks
of the River Severn. Refreshments will be available at the hotel. We enjoy dinner this
evening and a visit from local carol singers.
Tuesday 25th (Christmas Day): A full English breakfast this morning and then perhaps
taka a walk around the hotel grounds. Mulled wine is served before enjoying a four course
traditional Christmas day lunch carvery. The Queen’s speech will be shown in the
afternoon accompanied by tea and Christmas cake. Finish the day with a leisurely buffet
followed by entertainment.
Wednesday 26th (Boxing Day): We visit Leamington Spa – Leamington is famous as the
place where lawn tennis began and the modern day rules were drawn up in 1874. This
afternoon we go to the Royal Spa Centre for the pantomime ‘ Dick Whittington’. Featuring
all the classic elements you'd expect from our pantomime - awesome sets and costumes,
amazing special effects, fabulous songs and dances, and bags of slapstick fun. We return
to our hotel for a pre-dinner drink followed by a farewell gala dinner with entertainment.
Thursday 27th: We return home after breakfast via the historic city of Lichfield where we
have time to explore and obtain lunch.
