Monday 3rd: (Christmas Eve): Travel to Newquay and our hotel to find your hosts in festive spirit. Meet in the bar for a sherry reception followed by evening meal and live entertainment.
Tuesday 4th: (Christmas Day): A half day morning excursion to Padstow a fine example of a Cornish fishing port with a colourful harbour surrounded by pastel-washed medieval houses. The town is largely unspoilt, with a beautiful harbour fringed with many intact medieval buildings. The famous "Seafood Restaurant" run by Rick Stein is situated on the quayside. We return to the hotel for our traditional Christmas dinner and a visit from Santa with treats for everyone. Afterwards we enjoy bingo and live entertainment.
Wednesday 5th: (Boxing Day): After breakfast today we travel to Truro to visit the farmers market, offering a wide range of local goodies which could be a perfect gift to take home. This afternoon, there will be a festive film with mince pies. After dinner this evening there will be live entertainment.
Thursday 6th: (New Years Eve): After breakfast, we travel to Looe, the popular seaside town of Looe can keep visitors entertained all year round and retains its character as a bustling working fishing port. After time for lunch, we continue to the village of Mevagissey, whose narrow streets and steep valley sides lead everyone to the harbour at the centre of the village. We return to the hotel for our evening meal which is followed by New Year’s Eve entertainment, fancy dress optional.
Friday 7th: After breakfast we bid farewell to Newquay and begin our journey homeward.
