Your Itinerary

Monday 4th: Morning start head south via the motorways for our Solent crossing, by ferry,
to the Isle of Wight and on to the Sandringham Hotel.

Tuesday 5th: Today we begin our day with a visit to Cowes. The vibrant seaport town
of Cowes is situated in the north of the Isle of Wight, on the west bank of the estuary of the
River Medina. The home of international yacht racing, it is perhaps most famous for Cowes
Week when hoards of visitors descend on the town for the famous regatta. After free time
to explore we head inland to Godshill, a picturesque village renowned for its pretty
thatched cottages and famous for its model village set in the gardens of the old vicarage.
Our final destination is to Shanklin, a extremely pretty village famed the area for the pretty
thatched cottages, quaint shops and old fashioned tea rooms, which not only offer cream
teas, but sea food specialities and attractive surroundings.

Wednesday 6th: Today is free to explore our resort. Sandown Beach is one of the Isle of
Wight's finest and most recognised beaches, with miles of soft golden sands crowned by
Sandown’s pleasure pier. Sandown’s esplanade has traditional seaside cafes, souvenir
and beach shops, whilst the pier has amusements galore, including a crazy golf course.

Thursday 7th: Full day visit to Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s palace by the sea. Look
out for Victorian opulence, extravagant interiors and jaw-dropping Indian decor in the
Durbar Room. Osborne was built as a family home and as you walk through the Queen’s
bedroom, the nursery rooms and even royal bathrooms, you get an intimate glimpse into
royal family life. There are acres of grounds and gardens to relax in.

Friday 8th: Morning ferry across the Solent and homeward bound for Shropshire and
surrounding area.
