Owen's Reunion - Lincolnshire - Coach 1
Our 14th annual reunion takes us to the 3 star Olde Barn Hotel near to Grantham in Lincolnshire, England’s second largest county, with its rich tapestry of fascinating heritage and World War II connections, Lincolnshire has
a huge diversity of wildlife and landscapes. With around 130 Shropshire and Mid Wales fellow companions travelling together you should have plenty to talk about. So why not join us for a great weekend!

Your Itinerary
Friday 29th: We leave during the morning travelling east with a stop off at Melton Mowbray best known for its culinary specialities, being the home of the eponymous pork pie. We arrive at our hotel late afternoon for tea/coffee and biscuits
Saturday 30th: Today we drive to the historic city of Lincoln with its magnificent Cathedral, and next to it is the Norman Castle. The old town is a labyrinth of little alleyways and interesting shops to explore – there are plenty of tea rooms to keep you going. On arrival we will have a guided tour around Lincoln on our coach then head up to the Cathedral for free time to explore. We return to our hotel for dinner followed by live entertainment.
Sunday 31st: This morning we head into Nottinghamshire and the historic market town of Newark-on-Trent. The ruins of the 12th century castle are a landmark, and the market place is surrounded by historic buildings including the Georgian town hall built in 1776. In the afternoon you are invited to join the staff and managers of Owen’s Travelmaster with the opportunity to talk to them about the forthcoming 2021 summer and winter brochures and enjoy an afternoon cream tea. The afternoon is completed by bingo with prizes and a charity raffle. Time to relax before your evening meal followed by our final evening of live
entertainment.
Monday 1st: We begin our journey home with a stop at Market Harborough, a distinctive market town offering heritage sites that bring the past back to life and lovely independent shops to browse. Completing our journey and to arrive home late afternoon.
