Great Yarmouth
Having been a flourishing coastal resort since 1760, the once major fishing port of Great Yarmouth has perfected the seaside experience down to a tee. With miles of golden sands and a great range of attractions its clear to see why this resort remains a firm favourite. Our tour, this year features the magnificent Felbrigg Hall and Gardens and Bressingham Gardens with its steam train and museum.

Your Itinerary

Monday 29th: Leaving home this morning, we travel east across the country to Great Yarmouth, arriving at our hotel with time to settle in before this evening’s meal.
Tuesday 30th: We begin with a visit to Cromer, one of Norfolk’s classic seaside towns, with time to explore the pier and promenade. This afternoon, we visit Felbrigg Hall, Gardens and Estate, a beautifully elegant country house set in a large estate with a decorative walled garden, picturesque lake, with 520 acres of woodland estate and trails to wander. Inside, we can visit the opulent Great Hall, complete with stained glass windows dating from the 15th century; the fascinating Dining Room, where the table is set for an 1860’s dinner party; and the magnificent Gothic Library, which contains c5,000 books dating from 1509.
Wednesday 31st: Beautiful Bressingham Gardens is our first stop today. For a unique look at the fabulous gardens, woodlands and countryside, we climb aboard the magnificent steam engine, where we can sit back, relax and enjoy the scenic ride. After time for lunch at Bressingham, we head to the charming seaside town of Southwold, complete with its famous painted beach huts and lovely pier. We enjoy some time here at leisure before returning to Great Yarmouth.
Thursday 01st: Today is at leisure in Norfolk’s premier coastal town and home to 15 miles of golden, sandy beaches. Some of the resorts many attractions include the Time & Tide Museum, where we can wander down a typical 1913 ‘Row’ and see inside the homes of local fishermen and the award-winning Merrivale Model Village, Railway and Gardens.
Friday 02nd: We leave after breakfast and begin our journey, stopping enroute for a lunch break we continue homeward, arriving later this afternoon.
