Festive Newark, Nottingham & Belvoir Castle
Join us as we soak up the festive spirit of lovely Newark-on-Trent aglow with its Christmas market and Christmas Tree Festival. We also pay a visit to the thriving city of Nottingham and Belvoir Castle.
Your Itinerary
Friday 08th: We leave home this morning and take a leisurely drive towards Marston and our hotel, arriving later in the afternoon.
Saturday 09th: We begin our day with a visit to the city of Nottingham, perhaps visit the City of Caves, browse the Christmas market and enjoy lunch before we head to nearby Belvoir Castle for a guided tour of the festively decorated ancestral home of the Duke of Rutland.
Sunday 10th: Our first visit is to the excellent National Civil War Centre, taking us back to the times of King Charles and Oliver Cromwell. We then make our way to Newark Christmas Market and Christmas Tree Festival.
Monday 11th: We depart after breakfast and make our way towards home, stopping on the way for lunch before returning home later this afternoon.
