Monday 05th: We leave home this morning and make our way to Cumbria, arriving late afternoon at the Riverside Hotel.
Tuesday 06th: This morning, we head lakeside, first stopping at Bowness-on-Windermere. Enjoy the beautiful surrounding landscapes and the views across Lake Windermere. There’s time to visit the Beatrix Potter Museum, should you wish, we leave after lunch. This afternoon we continue to the picturesque town of Ambleside.
Wednesday 07th: Today is at leisure in Kendal, where their weekly market is in full swing. Kendal offers a fine selection of shopping arcades and boasts two castles, museums and a host of historical buildings to explore.
Thursday 08th: We travel today to the North of the Lake District. Travelling via Glenridding and Ullswater until we reach Keswick, the capital of the North Lakes. Perhaps visit the Keswick Museum or the Keswick Brewing Company. Leaving after lunch our return journey takes us via the small village of Grasmere.
Friday 09th: Leaving the hotel after breakfast, our return journey takes us via the Victorian seaside town of Southport. After taking a break for lunch we continue to arrive home later in the day.
