Thursday 08th: We leave home this morning, making our way to East Anglia. After taking a break for lunch we will arrive later this afternoon.
Friday 09th: Today we combine a nostalgic steam train ride with a cruise on the Norfolk Broads. We begin at Aylsham where we join the Bure Valley Railway for the 9-mile ride to Wroxham. Here we embark on a leisurely cruise around the Broads. Our return trip takes us through delightful villages, such as Woodbastwick, with its diminutive green and thatched cottages.
Saturday 10th: Our first stop today is the seaside resort of Cromer. Later we continue to Sheringham, where we enjoy our next train ride. This time on a steam train along the Poppy Line from Sheringham to Holt, a pretty Georgian market town with lots of little alleyways to explore.
Sunday 11th: Today we visit Houghton Hall & Gardens. Built for Britain’s first Prime Minister, Sir Robert Walpole, in the 1720s. The hall is set in extensive parkland, and is home to its famous white fallow deer, an award-winning Walled Garden, the Model Soldier Museum (the world’s largest private collection of model soldiers), a cafe and a gift shop.
Monday 12th: Leaving our hotel after breakfast, we head to the beautiful and prosperous town of Royal Leamington Spa for a break and lunch, before we continue our journey home.

Mercure Hotel, Norwich
The Mercure Hotel is located on the outskirts of Norwich. All bedrooms are en suite and have TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel does not have a lift.
