Elegant Eastbourne
Eastbourne is one of Britain’s more elegant resorts with a wide spacious promenade, pretty gardens and squares, a pier and fine shopping centre. We have time to enjoy the resort, to explore the surrounding countryside, time in vibrant Brighton and we visit historic Great Dixter House & Gardens.
Your Itinerary
Monday 26th: We begin our journey this morning and make our way to Eastbourne, arriving at the hotel in time to settle in before this evening’s meal.
Tuesday 27th: This morning, we head to Rye and visit Great Dixter House & Gardens, a historic house with magnificent gardens that have become a pilgrimage for horticulturists from around the world. Later we visit Rye with its quaint charm, cobbled streets and breathtaking views of Romney Marsh.
Wednesday 28th: Today is free to discover Eastbourne. One of England’s best loved seaside resorts, Eastbourne has a leisurely atmosphere with elegant seafront terraces, level promenade and immaculate gardens.
Thursday 29th: We start the day with an excursion to the pretty downland village of Alfriston. We then continue through the Sussex countryside to Brighton. We have the rest of the day to enjoy this Regency resort before returning to Eastbourne via the south coast’s beaches and cliffs with breathtaking views, passing through Newhaven and past Beachy Head Lighthouse.
Friday 30th: We begin our homeward journey after breakfast. A stop will be made for lunch before we continue the journey home.
