Day 1: We travel to Heysham for the early afternoon crossing to Douglas.
Day 2: Today we follow the famous TT motorbike race circuit, along the mountain course, visiting Ramsey in the north of the island. We continue our journey, calling in at Peel on the west coast, said to be the best example of a typical Manx town with its dramatic castle.
Day 3: We travel north to Laxey by electric tram, on one side there is the beautiful Manx countryside, on the other, far-reaching views out to sea. Laxey is home to the famous Lady Isabella Water Wheel and Mill. We then take the tram to the summit of Snaefell Mountain. Later we take the coach back to Douglas.
Day 4: This morning, we board the Isle of Man Steam Railway for a one-way journey from Douglas to Port Erin, with its beautiful bay, overlooked by majestic Bradda Head. After a break we continue to Port St. Mary and Castletown, the island’s former capital. We end the day returning past Tynwald, home of the Manx Parliament.
Day 5: An early breakfast before we check out of our hotel and then take the crossing from Douglas to Heysham and home.
