Monday 22nd: We leave home early this morning to catch the 11:30 ferry to Dublin. On arrival we continue to the County Arms Hotel.
Tuesday 23rd: This morning, we enjoy a guided tour of beautiful Birr Castle & Gardens. Discover the rich heritage and phenomenal achievements of generations of the Parsons family, before enjoying the award-winning gardens. This afternoon is free in Birr.
Wednesday 24th: We make our way to Galway where we board the Corrib Princess Cruise for a circular cruise. Hear about Galway’s ancient past, Celtic Mythology and stories of Galway’s feuding families. The Corrib Princess then sails onto the beautiful Lough Corrib, Ireland’s largest Lake.
Thursday 25th: We make our way this morning to Kilkenny and the vibrant Malzard O’Grady Pub for a lively celebration of musicians, hurling enthusiast and pint pullers. Dating back to 1789, the pub has been run by the same family for over 200 years! Join a sing-along, dance Irish style and tuck into a buffet lunch. This afternoon we move on to Smithwick’s Experience where we learn about the history of Ireland’s oldest ale, followed by a tasting.
Friday 26th: After breakfast we head to Dublin for the afternoon crossing to Holyhead. The final leg of our journey brings us home later in the day.
