Sunday 21st: Our holiday to South Wales begins as we leave home and make our way towards the hotel, arriving later this afternoon.
Monday 22nd: We spend this morning exploring Swansea’s maritime quarter and the National Waterfront Museum, perhaps visit the city centre’s bustling market. We then move on to the pretty Victorian seaside resort of Mumbles with time to explore and have lunch. This afternoon we head to the Gower Heritage Centre for an afternoon discovering the Gower Peninsula with a guided tour and finishing with a cream tea at the Heritage Centre.
Tuesday 23rd: Our first visit today is the pretty seaside resort and fishing port of Tenby. There’s time to wander the cobbled streets and have lunch in one of the friendly eateries. This afternoon, we visit the National Botanic Gardens of Wales, a fascinating blend of the modern and historic with the remarkable Great Glasshouse at its heart.
Wednesday 24th: Today, we explore the stories of the people of Wales and take a walk-through history, at one of Europe's leading open-air museums. The St Fagans National History Museum stands in the grounds of St Fagans Castle and gardens, a late 16th century manor house. Over 50 historic buildings from all over Wales have been re-built at the Museum including a Victorian school, a medieval church and a Workmen’s Institute.
Thursday 25th: Leaving the hotel after breakfast, we take a leisurely drive towards our lunch stop. Continuing on our way this afternoon, we arrive home later in the day.

Mercure Swansea
Mercure Swansea Hotel has stylish rooms and a lakeside location just outside of the city centre. Each ensuite room has a TV and tea/coffee making facilities, some have views over the grounds and lake. The hotel does not have a lift.
