Monday 25th: Our holiday begins this morning as we leave home and take a leisurely drive to Devon. We arrive at the hotel in time to settle in before this evening’s meal.
Tuesday 26th: Today, our first visit is to RHS Rosemoor, an enchanting garden that contains water features, formal and informal gardens displaying an array of colour. We later return to Bideford for free time to discover this delightful, ancient seaport.
Wednesday 27th: Our first stop this morning is the picturesque resort of Lynmouth where we have time to explore the narrow streets and maybe take the historic funicular cliff railway to the twin village of Lynton. Our return journey this afternoon takes us through Exford and the Exmoor National Park.
Thursday 28th: We visit the award-winning Hartland Abbey and gardens this morning, dating back to 1157, the former monastery was gifted by Henry VIII to the Sergeant of his wine cellar in 1583. This afternoon we take a trip to the vibrant Cornish resort of Bude, will you choose authentic Cornish pasty, or cream tea for lunch?
Friday 29th: Leaving after breakfast, we begin our journey and make our way towards our lunch time stop. We continue this afternoon, arriving home later in the day.

Royal Hotel, Bideford
The hotel is situated by Bideford Bridge with glorious views over the river Torridge, this unique hotel has a history dating back to the golden age of the 17th century. Today the hotel oozes charm and character. All bedrooms are ensuite with TV and tea/coffee making facilities.
