Monday 9th: Leaving home this morning, we make our way to
Yorkshire, arriving at the hotel in time to settle in before this evening’s meal.
Tuesday 10th: This morning, we travel through the area known as
Emmerdale Country. We make a stop in the little village of Esholt where you
can perhaps enjoy a drink in The Woolpack. We then head into Leeds city
centre to enjoy free time to explore at leisure. You may like to visit the Royal
Armouries, which showcases how military equipment has advanced through
the ages. Enjoy some retail therapy of the Trinity Shopping Centre or the
Victorian Quarter.
Wednesday 11th: This morning, we meet our guide for a tour of the
Yorkshire Dales National Park. We stop first in the market town of Skipton
before we head into the heart of the dales with stops in the villages of
Grassington, Hawes and Wensleydale.
Thursday 12th: We begin today with a drive to historic Richmond, on the
banks of the River Swale. Here you will find a castle, The Green Howards
Museum and the Richmondshire Museum, which houses the set from
All Creatures Great & Small. Our next stop is Leyburn where you can visit
Ceramic Inspirations, the home of beautifully crafted teapots. Next door you
will find the Chocolate Shop, for a sweet treat. Later we continue to Ripon,
with its magnificent cathedral which dates back to the 7th century.
Friday 13th: We depart the hotel after breakfast and make our way to a
lunch stop. We continue this afternoon, arriving home later in the day.

The hotel lies on the outskirts of Ilkley providing a good base to explore
Yorkshire. All bedrooms are ensuite with TV and tea/coffee making
facilities.
