Thursday 5th: We leave home this morning and head towards London.
After taking a break for lunch we arrive at the hotel, later this afternoon.
Friday 6th: Step into history at Chatham Dockyard, where the legacy of
Britain’s naval power comes to life. Discover the stories of shipbuilders, sailors,
and dock workers in immersive exhibition galleries like Command of the
Oceans and The Ropery. Walk the decks of three historic warships to learn
about warship construction, refitting, and repair. Get up close to significant
maritime artifacts from the collections of Royal Museums Greenwich and
Imperial War Museums – all included with your admission.
Saturday 7th: The adventure continues today at Royal Museums Greenwich.
Stand on the iconic Prime Meridian at the Royal Observatory, the birthplace
of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Then, climb aboard the legendary Cutty Sark.
Marvel at its soaring masts and intricate rigging and take in breathtaking
views of the River Thames. Finally, explore the vast collections of the National
Maritime Museum and the elegant Queen’s House, rounding off a truly
unforgettable journey through Britain’s rich maritime heritage.
Sunday 8th: After breakfast, we depart from the hotel and journey towards
Oxfordshire to visit the magnificent Blenheim Palace. Spend time exploring
the stunning house and gardens, with plenty of options available for a snack
or meal at lunchtime. Later in the afternoon, we continue our journey home,
arriving later in the day.
