Monday 20th: We leave home this morning and make our way
to Eastbourne and the perfectly situated Lansdowne Hotel.
Tuesday 21st: Enjoy Eastbourne at leisure today. The hotel overlooks
the sea and is an easy stroll along the promenade to the town centre
and the resorts many attractions.
Wednesday 22nd: Our first stop today is the Cinque Port town of Rye, with enchanting,
cobbled streets and beautifully preserved buildings. This afternoon we head to Pashley Manor
Gardens. In late April/early May Pashley Manor’s spectacular Tulip Festival sees
the garden carpeted with over 40,000 tulips, creating stunning scenes to enjoy.
Thursday 23rd: We begin today with an excursion to the pretty downland
village of Alfriston. After our stop we continue to vibrant Brighton. We have
the rest of the day to explore and enjoy this Regency resort. Our return journey
follows the south coast’s beaches and cliffs.
Friday 24th: After bidding a fond farewell to our hosts, sit back and relax
as we make our way towards a lunch stop. Later we continue home.

Lansdowne Hotel, Eastbourne
The hotel is currently in its 110th year of being owned and run by the
same family, now in its fourth generation. It is believed that the Lansdowne
is one of only a handful of hotels in the UK that have been owned and
run by the same family for over a century.
