Monday 6th: Leaving home this morning we make our way to North
Devon arriving later this afternoon at the Dilkhusa Hotel, Ilfracombe.
Tuesday 7th: This morning, we visit Barnstable where it is market day.
Enjoy time at leisure browsing the market and explore the town with its
elegant Georgian buildings. Later we journey the short distance to
Dartington Crystal. We enjoy a fascinating behind-the-scenes factory tour
where we can watch skilled craftsmen demonstrating how they handcraft
glass into luxury homeware items.
Wednesday 8th: Today is free to explore the Victorian seaside resort of
Ilfracombe. Known as the jewel in the North Devon Coast, you’ll discover a
quaint quayside, whitewashed villas, lovely beaches and an abundance of
cafes and shops.
Thursday 9th: After breakfast, we journey to the charming town of Tiverton.
Enjoy free time to explore at your own pace. The town features an historic
castle built in 1106 and a variety of independent stores to browse on the
high street. Our visit this afternoon is to Sheppy Cider where cider has been
produced since 1917. We will enjoy a guided tour of the facility to learn what
goes into producing this fine cider before enjoying a refreshing tasting.
Friday 10th: After breakfast, we leave the hotel and begin our homeward
journey. After taking a break for lunch, we arrive later in the day.

All bedrooms are en suite with TV, and tea/coffee making facilities.
The hotel has a small lift, there are some internal steps, please advise
us if you have any mobility issues.
