Friday 28th: After leaving home this morning we arrive at our hotel in time
for an early dinner. We then head to Kew Gardens where the sparkling
after dark trail spectacularly lights up the surroundings. Discover glittering
tunnels of light, dancing lakeside reflections and trees drenched in jewel-like colour.
Saturday 29th: This morning, we journey north to the magnificent Blenheim
Palace, famous birthplace of Winston Churchill. Explore the exquisitely festive
fairy tale themed palace interior, featuring a gigantic Christmas tree in the
grand hall. Outside in the Great Courtyard, soak up the festive atmosphere of
a Christmas market with over 70 traders offering a variety of artisan goods.
Sunday 30th: After breakfast, we drive to historic Winchester and their
Christmas Market. The Cathedral Inner Close is transformed with more than
90 beautifully decorated wooden chalets selling a wide range of gifts.
The market features festive food, a crafts village and a nativity scene.
Monday 1st: After breakfast, we depart the hotel and begin the journey
home with fond memories of our festive weekend away.

The Hilton Hotel Reading has a contemporary style and provides an ideal
base for this weekend break. Hotel facilities include an indoor heated
swimming pool and fitness centre. All bedrooms are ensuite and have TV
and tea/coffee making facilities.
