Sunday 14th: Leaving home this morning we make our way to York
and our Yuletide break at the Burn Hall Hotel.
Monday 15th: This morning is spent in Yorkshire’s gem, the medieval
city of Ripon. Visit the magnificent cathedral, or the ruins of
Fountains Abbey in the Georgian water gardens of Studley Royal.
Wander the city centre and grab some lunch before we make
our way to Castle Howard for an afternoon visit. This year’s festive theme will
be scenes from the Wizard of Oz, click your heels and embark on a thrilling
adventure that is sure to amaze.
Tuesday 16th: Today we have a full day to explore the beautiful city of York.
Here you can finish the Christmas shopping with so many independent and
well know retailers to choose from. If your shopping is complete, enjoy the
numerous museums, the mighty York Minster and a leisurely lunch in one of
the many fine eateries.
Wednesday 17th: We leave after breakfast and make the short journey
to the elegant, Victorian spa town of Harrogate, with its lovely town centre,
the Royal Pump Room and a variety of attractions to explore. After lunch
we will continue our journey home, arriving later in the day.
