Our days out begins with a scenic drive to Tintern, where the majestic ruins of Tintern Abbey
dominate the landscape. After time to explore this iconic site, enjoy browsing the town’s
inviting craft and antique shops. We then make our way to Symonds Yat, renowned for its breathtaking
panoramic views over the Wye Valley. Here, we embark on a relaxing river cruise, offering a
circular route through some of the area’s most picturesque scenery. We visit Tredegar House and Gardens,
near Newport, a magnificent 17th-century mansion, considered one of the finest of its kind in Britain.
Marvel at the opulent state rooms and stroll through the immaculate gardens. Afterwards, enjoy
free time in Cardiff, a lively capital city filled with cultural attractions, shopping, and dining opportunities.
One of the highlights of our tour is a nostalgic heritage steam train journey on the Dean Forest Railway,
winding through the atmospheric woodlands of the Forest of Dean. As we travel, indulge in a
traditional cream tea served onboard. We conclude our adventure with a visit to Chepstow, a
delightful riverside town that beautifully blends the ancient and the contemporary. Take time to explore
its historic streets and the imposing Norman Chepstow Castle, perched dramatically above the River Wye.
