Welcome to Eastbourne, one of England’s most elegant seaside resorts. Take in its Victorian charm,
immaculate seafront gardens, and level promenade, perfect for a leisurely stroll with sweeping coastal
views to the friendly town centre. We follow the Sussex coast to the historic town of Hastings, where
you’ll have free time to explore. Wander the Warrior Square Gardens, take in sea views from the
promenade, or browse the shops and enjoy the town’s relaxed vibe. We step into the comforting world
of tea at the British Tea Museum. Enjoy a fascinating talk on the social history of tea in Britain, followed
by a tasting of two fine teas, served with fresh scones, cream, and jam, a truly delicious experience.
We take a journey through the scenic Sussex countryside to Bodiam, where we board the
Kent & East Sussex Railway for a nostalgic steam train ride to Tenterden. This lovely town in Kent offers
charming tea rooms and shops, ideal for a relaxed lunch. Our tour concludes with a visit to the
storybook setting of Scotney Castle, a romantic moated castle nestled in a picturesque, wooded estate.
Explore the Victorian country mansion, stroll through peaceful gardens, and discover the castle’s hidden
corners and fascinating history.

Day 1: Our holiday begins as we make our way to Elegant Eastbourne.
Day 2: Enjoy a full day at leisure exploring all the attractions of Eastbourne.
Day 3: Hastings & British Tea Museum with Scones, Cream Tea.
Day 4: Rail Journey Bodiam to Tenterden & Scotney Castle.
Day 5: We make our way home, stopping enroute for a lunch break.
