We depart and travel in comfort to Devon, where we arrive at our hotel later in the afternoon.
Tuesday has a highlight of the holiday. We step aboard the Dartmouth Steam Railway
for a nostalgic 30-minute journey along the coast to Kingswear. From here, we take the foot
passenger ferry across the River Dart to charming Dartmouth. A circular river cruise then
showcases the beauty of the estuary, before we return by train to Paignton.
A full day at leisure on Wednesday to enjoy Torquay at your own pace. Stroll
along palm-lined promenades, admire the picturesque harbour, relax in the cafes and gardens,
or browse the town’s excellent shops. On Thursday, we enjoy a visit to Buckfast Abbey,
home to Benedictine monks for over a thousand years. Explore the Abbey church,
tranquil gardens, the Monastic Way Exhibition, and the artisan shops.
Later, we continue to the historic fishing town of Brixham, with free time to explore i
ts harbour and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, we board the ferry across Tor Bay to Torquay,
where our coach awaits. After breakfast on Friday, we bid farewell to Devon.
With a leisurely break for lunch enroute, we continue our journey home, arriving later in the day.

Day 1: We travel to south Devon, arriving with time to settle in.
Day 2: Dartmouth Steam Railway & circular river cruise.
Day 3: A day at leisure to explore all of Torquay’s attractions.
Day 4: Buckfast Abbey, Brixham & ferry to Torquay.
Day 5: We return home; after taking a break for lunch, we arrive later in the day.
