Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Jurassic Coast stretches from Exmouth to
Old Harry Rocks near Swanage, revealing an extraordinary 185-million-year timeline of Earth’s
history. During our stay, we enjoy a memorable cruise along the coast, offering spectacular views
of its rugged formations from the water. Whilst on board, admiring the scenery, we feast on a
evonshire Cream Tea. On Monday morning, we visit the beautiful Powderham Castle, nestled
on the picturesque Exe Estuary. The historic home of the Earl of Devon, Powderham is set within
stunning grounds, and its richly decorated State Rooms offer a fascinating glimpse into the long
and storied history of the estate. We then continue to Bicton Botanical Gardens, where over 64 acres
of gardens span nearly 300 years of horticultural heritage. Home to many rare and exotic species
collected from around the globe, Bicton Park is a true delight for garden lovers and history enthusiasts
alike. Tuesday is yours to enjoy at leisure in Sidmouth, a charming seaside town brimming with
timeless appeal. Take a relaxing stroll along the elegant esplanade, or browse the independent shops and
cafés nestled in the town centre. You may wish to visit the Connaught Gardens, offering spectacular
views across Lyme Bay, or simply unwind by the sea and soak up the fresh coastal air. How ever you
choose to spend the day, Sidmouth’s relaxed pace and natural beauty make it a joy to explore
at your own pace.

Day 1: We take a leisurely drive to south Devon, arriving later in the day.
Day 2: Jurassic Coast Cruise with Cream Tea and time in Exmouth.
Day 3: Powderham Castle and Bicton Botanical Gardens.
Day 4: A day at leisure to explore Sidmouth.
Day 5: We travel home, stopping for lunch, arriving later in the day.

Bedford Hotel, Sidmouth 
The Bedford Hotel is situated on Sidmouth’s seafront, just a short stroll from the
