We begin with a scenic journey to Yorkshire’s charming market town of Skipton, known as the “Gateway to the Dales.” Explore its independent shops, cobbled lanes, and one of the finest medieval castles in the country. In the afternoon, we board the diesel train for a spectacular ride along the iconic Settle to Carlisle Railway. Completed in 1876, this masterpiece of Victorian engineering offers unrivalled views of the Pennines and beyond. On arrival in Carlisle, we check into the Crown and Mitre Hotel for a relaxing evening. After breakfast, we begin our scenic journey home with a delightful detour through the Lake District. We follow the tranquil shores of Ullswater, climb over the dramatic Kirkstone Pass, and descend to Lake Windermere, where we enjoy a short break amidst the serene landscape. We then continue our return journey home, with memories of a truly scenic escape.
